    C5103: Main high-voltage error M

Hi guys, the copier I am working with is the 8052 CI

Long story short, I took the developers and drum out, cleaned developers and charge roller. Put it back in and now it's automatically booting to system failure C5103

The whole text is here because I typed too much. Excuse my adhd...

If it's the button on the developing unit that's popping out, find yourself a very small sheet metal screw. Press the button in and hold it. Drive the screw in between the edge of the button and the front frame. That will keep the button in.

That's about as far as I'll go. It kinda scares me that you know absolutely nothing about copiers, and removed and re-installed the drums and developing units. You should have paid the $140 and had a professional clean your machine. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Change U100/"Set AC Auto Adj." from "On" to "Off" and check printout.
If you are a trained tech, you will find the reason.
Don't forget to switch back U100 after problem would solved.

Well since you have the manual now read the procedure for drum removal and you will see that the transfer belt assembly must be removed so that the belt is not against the drums, and from your description it doesn't sound like you did.

If you now remove the transfer belt, you will probably see the marks from it resisting you trying to push in the drum, along with some edge deformation.

Now this 'latch' you mention wouldn't by any chance be the charge roller latch? Maybe for the magenta charge roller? Which maybe was not seated and popped off when you reseated the Image Formation cover?(that thing that slides out on rails)

The only other latches in there are the 2 holding the Image Formation cover.
So whichever it is, it's important.

Lastly, reseating the drum into the DV cradle is tricky and you must ensure both the front and rear hooks are engaged/seated before re-inserting, or it will rub against the frame opening and won't fit.

The 8053ci added a latch to cam the TX belt so removal is not required.

I've seen similar code few times over the last week, machine was fine just wanted resetting out the blue it came up copy quality was fine couldn't see anything wrong. One would not reset and another engineer said replace the main drive and hey presto it worked.

What actually triggers a 510x code? Very strange how some start working fine.

Spot on, would the transfer belt assembly need to be replaced? I'm assuming due to damage. There were two latches that showed lock and unlock. One towards the upper left and one on the upper right.

Once the Charge roller assembly is replaced, test image quality. Only the front cover and image formation cover need to be removed for that. Leave drums in.

Transfer belts are pretty tough so if there is no visible lines in crossfeed and no belt tracking codes you’re probably ok.

Transfer belt comes out the right side, after removing fuser and conveying door so stay out unless you read the procedure.

The hi-volume frame is not like the others.

I think this error can be caused by the charge roller counter reaching 100,000(?), suggested replacement count. You can clear the counter using U930.

I've had a couple of times where the drum cleaning blade "flipped", and was holding the main charge away from the surface of the drum. It caused a black(or solid color) page, followed by code C510x. it's easy to see by removing the drums and looking at the blades.
