Kyocera FS-C8525 transfer belt unit TR-896A issues

Hi guys; I have a customer with an FS-C8525 full color unit that doesn't seem to like going a normal yield on the transfer belt unit. sold machine new to customer in July 2018, December of 2020 I put a transfer belt unit in at 26K total on the meter.. then again in April 2021 with 34K total on the meter.. now again it needs another transfer unit.. and it has a total of 43K on the meter.. I noticed that the waste toner in the unit is kind of hard & it locked up the auger, and the gear that runs the auger stripped out on the shaft so it wasn't turning any more after it locked up. I manually spun the auger, and cleaned out and swept the T/S belt, & the quality is real good, but it needs a new belt.. Any reason why this keeps happening? Streaks & blotches on the pages, YES, always using OEM toners & supplies, no generic toners EVER! any help appreciated. ALSO, if anyone has a new transfer unit please shoot me a price.
    Thanks

Before changing the transfer belt assembly you need to replace the transfer pipe cleaning assembly, a noted problem on this and other units. The shaft spinning in the drive gear as you described is causing the problem not caked up toner. The transfer pipe cleaning assembly is not moving the waste toner from the belt to the waste container causing it to back up on the belt cleaning brush. Just changing the transfer belt without replacing the TPC assembly will only result in needing another transfer belt in the near future. After changing the TPC assembly you will need a new transfer belt, never had much luck in cleaning the transfer belt to work reliably.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Well now, how about that, that makes total sense. You're saying that because the waste toner tube either packs up inside or one of those gears breaks that it inturn causes the toner to stay inside the belt and it tries to drive and rounds the gear off the of the belt assembly? So I need to do that waste toner tube drive and the transfer belt assembly at the same time.

Thanks guys for the info and the part number...
    HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The first time I came across this, it was the fourth transfer belt in two years. And yes, changing out the transfer belt assy solved the problem in the short term, but if the spout is not carrying away the waste, it will pack up again in 6 months (or my machine did, based on volume).

    You're welcome. =^..^=
