Ecosys P2040 How do I print an Event Log ?

I have this printer on warranty and it started intermittent jamming at 50,000 copies. I am having troubleshooting it and am needing to print the event log. In the service manual it says to input a code but not sure at all what it is talking about. Been a tech for 30 years... The jamming is occurring as soon as it enters the fuser, then the paper stops. No paper wrinkling. I replaced the printer with a new one to bring the problem printer to my shop to fix. Now the customer says it is happening on the new printer (Jamming)... Any help would be very appreciated

More than likely needs a fuser. There are a couple of ways to do it. Through the prescribe command on a flash drive is one. That's a little difficult if you're not tech saavy. The other way is to look at it, by putting it on the network and going to the web page at xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/svcmntrpt
This will display the log. If it's on KFS, you can also view the log there.
    Hope that helps !

If the other printer is doing it also what kind of paper is the customer using? Also check paper size settings

Paper size and or media type will see jamming if not set correctly.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Was the second printer new or used? You'll get these jams anywhere from 20k onward. My bet is the fuser, the jam code to confirm this is j4211.

If you installed a new P2040 & this also jams most likely user error or a totally different jamming issue, poor quality/damp paper for example.

Do you have IC Link? Send the PRESCIBE event log command thru that
    Or web interface IP/EVENTLOG

    event log.zip

    Try the attached file,

unzip and copy the .capt file to a USB pendrive, Place in the printer usb slot and select print from usb, the event file will be printed

Yep 4211, Not sure if I want to change the fuser every 50K. Surprised Kyocera has a low quality fuser.
