Calibration marks on prints TA5052ci (Utax 5006ci)

    Hi All,

Bit of a strange one, We have a machine where the calibration marks are showing on the print outs.

so far we have changed the Transfer belt assembly and checked all the connections and drive.

All is ok but it still happens, not every print but often enough.

Anyone had this before? or know of a fix??

nothing in the bulletins or firmware (but we did load the latest just in case)

    Regards

we have had 1 similar case and finally new transfer high voltage pwb solved the problem.
New TR, waste toner forwarding unit, feed image pwb and feed drive pwb didn`t solved it.

    Hello,
it is a problem of improper cleaning of the belt.
if the problem is the same with a new belt i think the waste toner is clogged.
    did you have C2810 codes.

    @pascalb
normally good idea, but if the transfer belt is new, there is no stucked waste toner inside and we can`t get this problem until the belt waste area is full again.....

I've had a few different models do this from the TA 306ci on up and almost every time its been solved by cleaning / reseating connectors for the ID sensors & shutters. Generally, I will hit that whole registration section with a vacuum and then manually swab the sensors to clean them. Check event report for error codes 7601 or 7602 and check for color registration errors. Sometimes just doing the calibrations and manual color registration will help. Good Luck!

There was a bulletin on this, try updating the firmware.

Don’t be surprised if the transfer belt cleaning blade has flipped. It’s very easy to get to and always goes back ok after unscrewing and putting it back under the roller.

    1.
    transfer cleaning blade??
If i am right, there is a cleaning brush instead of a blade.
Take a look for U107/ primary transfer cleaning voltage adjustment
For a blade no voltages needed.
    2.
primary transfer belt would replaced without success
new belt with flipped "cleaning blade" i don`t think so.
    3.
From my experience, we are missing the needed cleaning power supply for the brush or missing ground.
This could be the reason. We have had similar cases on other systems in past. (e.g. Saturn, Venus, Mebius, Gemini)
    4.
    issues in past:
bad contact from the spring for cleaning voltage/ ground (right side on pwb at this system)
take care for parts tc terminal assy, spring HV CLN/ spring HV Transfer CLN Bias
    broken transfer high voltage pwb
    worst case: broken engine pwb

Thank you all for your replies and suggestions.

    As an update/reply,

The latest firmware was applied and didnt fix the issue

The new high voltage board did not fix the issue.

All connectors are good and a new transfer belt was fitted

We are now going to go back with an Engine board.
