What did it look like when you put the old drum and dev back in? That would be my first instinct.

It looks grainy like it's pulling developer on to the page, does it feel grainy? Check to make sure the drum charge roller holders didn't break during shipping. I don't remember, but does that dev unit have the small clear mylar with rubber against the mag roller that is supposed to be removed? I've forgotten to take one off before and had similar results

I did a half stop and found the same pattern on the developer
mag roller. I'm suspecting the developer is defective. I did make sure the little packing spacers were removed too (thanks mntech good call, I forgot these as well before).

I did not want to put the old DV back in as that one was pouring out a leak that got all over the LSU and cassettes which took me a while to clean out. Anyway, will be back with another DV and see. Will post results. Fortunately they have another copier onsite to use. Thx so much!

looks like a toner spill inside the machine thats getting picked up and smeared. Id check the charge roller for any residue in the same pattern as whats on the page

You are saying that spilled toner gets on DEV mag roller?

If the charge roller is dirty it would repeat the pattern through the page... As you can see on the sample, there is no repetitive fault.

It is 95% bad developer unit.

have seen exactly the same printouts like yours.
    Reason:
Tech didn`t unplugged the power cord from the wall outlet.
Now wrong counters for DK and/ or DV and system is creating wrong voltages.
I checked needed time for 1 page and get this result: 3011 sec/ page. (U157*60sec=needed developing time/ page)
    Take a look for U110, U117, U118, U120, U930, U157, U158, U984 and U985

Yes, this is exactly the same kind of sample print out. It was me who installed both drum and dv. And from previous experiences I made sure machine was powered down properly and unplugged when replaced. I was also in the process of running the set up modes of u119 u464 u412 u469 when I discovered the test chart being distorted.

Thanks so much for posting the same sample issue. I will check these values.

So your fix was u157 needing to be at 60sec? I'll check that as well.

How do I get it to normal values if it's off?

No way out without new parts.
Wrong values on Eeproms from DK or DV you can`t restore or change.
Maybe U100/ Set DC Auto Adj change from "ON" to "OFF" can be helpfull until you are able to assemble new DV and/ or DK.
Also take a look for Eventlog
Maybe hidden C7200 or C7241 visible.
During analysing from reports, this shows me that tech. didn`t unplug power plug before disassembling..

This is exactly the reason that it's standard operating procedure for me to unplug the mahince any time I put a screwdriver to it. Better safe than sorry and forgetting to unplug the machine could be a costly mistake.
