    I need your opinion.
this is the vent of a drum, the toner becomes hard at 90,000 copies.
    what do you think?

I'm not familiar with this model, but if that drum unit sits next to the fuser & you're using OEM toner.. then maybe turned down the sleep timer so that the fuser isn't baking the consumable items inside the machine. I have learned over time, that the customer is impatient & doesn't like to wait for the few seconds for the machine to be ready to use, so they bump up the sleep time to 240 minutes & then everything inside the machine is subject to all that heat from a machine that just sits there to be ready... Most machines today come ready fairly fast, so.. set that sleep timer for 10 minutes & see the difference in the yields of items in machine & also hope it helps to allow the waste toner to get to the waste bottle before it melts in the auger.
    I hope that made sense...lol

Be the waste toner mechanism at the back guaranteed. Bottle isn't turning?

Usually when that happens the drive gear on the waste transfer screw on the ITB strips out and you get a build up in the ITB Cleaner. Have run into this before and it is caused by the waste box assembly being clogged and not allowing the waste to drop down to the WTB.

If that fails, meet me at the pub and we will discuss it, maybe, probably not we are at the pub!

One of 3 most likely causes, cheat Waste Toner door and look for bottle to turn. If not, remove waste toner box and check for upper and lower sections of which box have plastic clips on the side. Rear right clip unhooks and drive gear does not turn bottle (bottle moves away from gear). Also felts inside box can degrade and bind bottle.

Redesigned rear auger for waste toner coupler (inside clear chute, rear of machine)

Redesigned waste toner chute assembly also (rear, behind main drive unit)

Surprised you have not had grinding noise from WT auger binding in DV/DRUM waste area.

Yes you are 100% correct, especally with the grinding noise.

    Re: problems toner

You will need to follow the entire waste toner path, remove, clean, reinstall all parts/passages.
The waste collection of all drum/dv/trans happens in a clear plastic manifold/auger attached to hidden side of main drive gearpack with clips.

It's actually not a terrible job to work on the collection manifold. unplug a lot of wires, unclip rubber waste chute, drive assy screws, and it's out.

it IS a terrible job to work on the waste container scale/drive assy in case it's deformed and not driving the container. if you can turn the container by hand, you need to fix the housing...
