6002i light prints and nearly blank copies

    hello all,

so we got this gem in off the wholesale truck, and it had light internal prints. I figured, that it had been robbed of the good and replaced with old drums dv and such. I ordered a MK and installed ran u952 and no joy.
here is a list of other things that i have tried. Any other ideas would be appreciated...and the fix more so

    MK
    Cleaned Laser
    Kyocera service navigation flow chart
    engine pwb
    feed image pwb
feed drive pwb(because it was easy and just to rule it out)
    transfer high voltage pwb
    302ND39170 base terminal HV
    the complete conveying section
    drum/developer pwb
the connector pwb for the transfer belt assy
    replaced laser
    Main pwb
    Attached Files Attached Files

Did you check the Eco-mode setting?

’On’ will do that ‘light internal’ print thing

Crash the machine in the middle of printing a skyshot and compare the images on the drum and belt. Might give you a hint as to where you're losing density.

It looks like there is plenty of image on the belt, so I guess that narrows down to the secondary transfer on the machine side because i did replace the whole conveying with a known working unit....

actually no i have not cleaned the mirrors because i noticed the issue was still in the machine when I was in U952 doing the internal print calibrations. I just made a copy after the fact because I knew I would be asked if it did it on copies as well.
I did remove the laser and disassemble it and clean it so that was one of the first things done

Looks like you've changed all the parts responsible for second transfer HV, conveying unit). Probably going to be some issue in the circuit connections and contacts. Harness, springs, etc.

I would check for a bent pin in the side door connection on the machine side, it's easy to bend them and they may have been bent before you changed the conveyance section.

That was my thought. Emergency stop the machine with a heavy fill image. Then check the latent image density at each drum and on the transfer belt. That will help you determine exactly when you're losing your image fill. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
