I wish they would quit trying to over engineer fusing units. Almost every segment has some type of fusing unit issues when released.
    Hope that helps !

Fuser issues have been around as long as I have (... hey, do you think it's something to do with me?!). When they took a Mita DC-1655 and tried to ramp it up to 30cpm (DC-3055) the plastic bushing tore themselves to shreds almost immediately (1992?)

Every new fuser design has brought along it's own heartache, since they left the old-fashioned teflon coated aluminum rollers behind. The bugs seem to get hard & harder to resolve. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I don't have a personal endorsement. I was leaning towards the OIL-965 used on the Toshiba eS4555C film fusers. Never having tried it, I can't say whether it would work or not. AFAIK there is no part number for the Toshiba silicon oil. It just comes as part of the fuser kit.

Good luck! And please post back your results. =^..^=
    Thank you.

Expensive stuff. But the right article.

15watt laser could fuser toner through a film sleeve? And would have no warmup time at all and yea 15watt!! It will scan like a PH.

I don't know if it's the same stuff I used back when ... but Chemplex was horrible!! It would smoke and stink .. and kept smoking and stinking for weeks afterwards. We used it on the bicycle chain fuser drive Torrington's on the Mita DC-5055. It was the only thing we had at the time, and stunk up every office we used it in. =^..^=

Oh, the good old chain driven days... DC-513z, 313z, 211/213/121/131 and so on... worked well, but a little noisy, fusers were way better with aluminum core/teflon coated. Been doing this since 1986... good times.. I do love this site!!

I can remember radiant fusers, The kind like on Xerox 914. Had to have a fire extinguisher near by when they had a paper jam.

Part time retired. OK more retired than part time.

If all else fails read the Service Manual!

If that fails, meet me at the pub and we will discuss it, maybe, probably not we are at the pub!

Replace the fuser yesterday. I forgot how easy it comes out. Its a heavy unit. Its a shame it does not do what it was intended for. Its an easy machine to work on that much I can testify to.

On the A4 Kyoceras you will get the best results if you run them hard, as many prints as the machine can do.

Most of our machines are placed in situations of 5K or less per month. That's the worst possible scenario. A few have been ran to 50K, 60K, or even 100K per month. They'll run PM to PM in that situation. I used to read the specs and think: "That's ridiculous!", but it turns out to be true.

You'll also kill the machine in a year. =^..^=

I agree with this 100%. The best running one I had in my territory got replaced at over 650K copies because the frame was worn out and wouldn't evenly apply fuser pressure. It was the only one I had that made yield on all parts, over on some.
