Authorized trained techs don't have to use the service manual to locate switch's. Only the untrained rookies

Your should be learning the jam codes and trouble codes but what do I know? hahajajha

I sincerely hope that no one buys into your ignorance. This thread was started (not by me) because of the confusing nature of the Kyocera Service manual when trying to trace down the different sensors. Specifically using sim. U031.

GTFOH. With advice like that, I wouldn't let you work on my toaster. OMG.

You don't even own a toaster.

By the way, thanks for the person that started this thread and thanks to blackcat for talking about the different names for the sensors/signals in the differet parts of the service and parts manual. It made me do my homework and I'm better for it.

There are 2 exit sensors. Which one are you referring to?

    1. Exit paper - located directly after the fuser.

    2. Exit Feed - located in the switchback unit.

Interesting thread. I have no problems reading Toshiba and KonMin manuals but I'm surprised to hear Kyo has so many misleading and confusing parts in their manuals. For sure the copier god(aka blackcat) advise will work but imho that disarrangement is a shame for such a good brand.

Kyocera is one the easiest brands the manuals are very good. The problem is don't over think Kyocera.
Coming from Canon or Konica or Xerox the names of the same components are different.
