TASKalfa 4012i error code C6400

Hi Guys,

I have a TASKalfa 4012i with C6400 error code.
I read about zero cross signal but other printers are working well (both colors and bw models), electricity is ok.

I tryed to change fuser but same error.
Service manual say to change low power PWB or engine PWB.
Firmware is up to date!

Any ideas?
Someone has already seen this problem?

Do you know how zero cross works? Sine wave?

The heaters are turned on only when the voltage is zero. This minimizes power draw. Your problem most likely is with the power source.

Did you reset the fuser code?
Pretty rare boards fail on Kyocera machines

PS - You said other printers were working with no problem but are they on the same circuit? What have you done to test the power source? Sometimes it's hard to track down a power source problem. It could be happening only at a certain time of day? Or when another piece of equipment is powered on?

Machine gives the same error both at the customer's site and at my site.

There is no U163 on this model.

Is possible to repair PWB instead of replace it?
Maybe a common problem like a opto-isolator or something like that.

Probably not. I just priced this board repair @ Hy Tech. This cost is around $250.00.

When does the code happen? Bootup

Reseat all connections on onboards

Was a service call preformed before this started?
If so what was done

Tryed U906 - no luck.
Tryed U287 - autorecovery on error C6xxx - no luck.

Error come up on boot. After powering up with the main switch, machine motors turns for a short time, DP make its selftest and then - four beeps - error code C6400
