I always clean the shaft where the one-way bearings ride. If that area where the one-way bearings ride is dark in color, I take some fine grain sand paper (the fine side of an emery board will work as well) and rub that darkness off. I do the rubbing in the direction of the ends of the shaft. I believe this helps the one-way bearings grab better and that has solved many issues on many document feeders. Actually, anywhere I encounter one-way bearings, it’s a thing I do to keep from visiting the customer...... just sayin'I am assuming you are cleaning the shafts the one -bearing rides
Bulletin N116 forthcoming changes the spring that KYO_OEM stated that he was removing.
sometimes it can be helpfull if solutions like this would forwarded to KDC
But now i am fighting against new problem on this fu.....DP.
A lot of dirty CIS AGC rollers <30k scans.
Same ordernumber as used in DP-7110, but i think the faster speed could be the reason.
Maybe temp because of high abraison will increase, today i will measure temp around it....
Yes, we have the same problem too on several machines, but one in particular. Brand new copier and customer is getting frustrated. Tried older Yellow sep roller and double fed. We switched feeders from 7160 to 7170. At least the 7170 has double feed jam sensor, so the customer knows when it double fed, but still does it. This customer scans a lot and they are originals from different customers (they do water testing and scan forms, etc.). Now, I will say, sometimes they do have a top copy of NCR, but its not all NCR originals just a sheet or two. They scan packs of 30-50 originals at a time. Nothing from Kyocera and the fact you mention NCR, they blame that but, I find it hard to believe a sheet or 2 coats the sep roller enough to make it an issue. In a holding pattern with this customer hoping a resolution or bulletin is coming soon!

why you won`t follow up the published bulletin against your problem?
Take care for date of publishing.
KYO_OEM, here's mine after 1 week. I just replaced it today with one from a 4550ci.
The replacement spring for double feeding was ordered a couple of weeks ago and have no ETA.

Are the prints being run through the doc feeder being printed on an HP? We had one doing this and it was being caused by the HP not fusing.
