pdf attached with material and software needed to reset kyocera EEPROMS if anyone has any doubt as is !
Bye!
Can someone not bump/remove this topic as it’s highly unethical and morally wrong to say the least?
How many times have you as an engineer wanted to tear the head of a salesman for selling a POS as new or saw meter readings that just don’t make sense on reconditioned machines.
There is no need for anyone to clock a machines meter reading other than hiding its true age and usage. Meter readings do get reset but only when it has a power surge or boards are genuinely replaced due to fault.
Yes i've looked at the link and no its not from kyocera its a third party who don't take responsibility for what you do or what happens - says it all really.

IC-Prog原装编程器可以改计数器吗?
Only U021 and U024 to clear the customers data, that all. no one needs to reset the counters for "normal" reasons
Sure. Just keep making copies and prints until the counter turns to zero.
As a matter of fact, yes, you can. It is very easy and takes less than a minute.
But, ain't no way in hell I will tell anyone. I wouldn't do it for my boss (he was furious but tough shit), so I won't do it for anyone else. There is only one scenario when it would be OK to reset the meter, and that is when the machine has undergone a total rebuild, and is sold as such, with all new parts that are subject to any wear. That's right. It would cost more in parts and labor than a new machine so suck it up, fix it up and sell it for what it is. A used machine.
