Checksum Error F010 on Taskalfa 181/221

Hi did FW upgrade and print board is giving me this msg when printer button is pressed. Copy and Scan functions are OK.

Cheers for any fast feedback, I am with clients machine on site --stress ...

What is the best way to upgrade FW on Print board as the CF card with Printer FW does not get recognized by the Machine and my next question is can I slot it in the Print Board CF slot to do the FW upgrade that way? Cheers

I would suspect your firmware is corrupt or the wrong model. Should always work from flashcard.Have you used that flashcard before successfully?

The problem was that I have tried to load the main+ENGINE fw and printer FW all at the same time...where obviously the printer FW is going to the blue slot and Main + Engine to the one under screwed plate.

So I did Main+Engine successfully however when I put the card to the blue slot nothing was happening - (Although it was but I did not see it on display as I was in COPY Mode) took me a bit to realise where was the problem.

As I had flash card in the slot and seeing nothing on display I switched machine off and tried to put Solo Printer FW on through the other PWB CF slot. Which obviously came with CF Error..there was the time when I said to myself ,, well at least I did Main + Engine OK and do Printer different time as I was pushed for a time a bit.
Almost leaving asked client to do some Prints and RED Data light started to flash..grr...OK hit the Printer button = Checksum Error F010. Not much time left on parking ..

So I started this thread and was looking for some Bulletins etc.. nothing..

Then it clicked in my head... ...do it again...and hit the printer button ..and voilà Firmware uploading through the Printer CF Slot

Not really proud of myself as it was a silly mistake, but hey we all have our moments..sometimes

Glad you figured it out, I write text files in my firmware folders as a reminder of how to do each firmware...flashcard, USB or IB ver...what slot it goes in.....which firmware gets installed first...The older technology is a PITA to figure out
