    2550ci fuser "squeak"

A 2550ci in the field is squeaking "lightly" but loud enough to aggrevate the staff. It's coming from the fuser section as it continues to turn after copying/printing. Any suggestions for grease types or other work arounds for this issue? I've been careful not to use the wrong type of grease/lubricants on these new fuser sections.

    go to system menu
    adjustment/maintainence
    silent mode
    ON

and you can try lubing the fuser bushing/bearings with hi temp grease
Testing 1-2-3, testing, testing. Is this thing on?

    Re: 2550ci fuser "squeak"

are you sure its from the fuser? i had an annoying squeak coming from the fuser drive section. i pulled it apart and there was a nylon washer that was grooved by a spring. i flipped it around hit it with some grease and the sound has not returned.
