Is there deletion on the edge of the document before scanning them in? If not and it is banding front to back w/o deletion and not lead edge to trail. It is that inconsistent I would replace the laser first. For board issues and HV issues they usually show up more consistently, but the laser can be very hit and miss with black banding on any models and brands.

Make sure all the plastic c-clips are still on the end of the transfer belt roller .

Have had same missing clip and system worked well after mounting from new one, but later we got same issue again....
Finally since drum driving shaft work, no more claims from endcustomer regarding black band...

Replace drum and transfer belt as a pair. If you do 1 at a time it returns.
Ive got a exact sample of what you posted in my "fixes" folder.
