I copied this from another forum that i was viewing. this was posted in 2014. If this works, then this is will be ideal.
the most versatile and independend way to get an eventlog (and most other relevant stuff like status-pages) out of any current or recent Kyocera-Model is a command-file on USB-Stick.
Pro:
- all current and recent models have front-USB-Port and can pront from USB
- no need for external hardware like network, PC, laptop, parallel-port
- no need for potentionally problematic stuff like ports or protocols in foreign networks
How-To:
-------
create a text-file with extension ".capt" on an USB-Stick
content:
!R! elog; stat; stat; page; exit;
Usage:
------
insert USB-Stick into printer
select "print file from USB"
print the *.capt-file (e.g. status.capt)
Retrieve eventlog, status-page, service-status-page.
