urgently looking for US firmware for P3055dn

Hi guys,

I'm from Germany.
My boss asked me to buy 3 new printers. I went with the Kyocera Ecosys P3055DN.

My big problem now is, that after some time it enters a deep sleep/energy saving mode and it takes a lot of time to wake/warm up meanwhile the customer has to wait for his invoice to get printed, which is very anoying.
Now my boss makes me responsible for this mistake.

This energy saving behavior cannot be turned of for EU devices but for US.
(this information was hidden deep inside the manual, which I did not notice before buying)

Can someone PLEASE provide me with the US firmware for the P3055dn?

Most, if not all printers when waking from sleep will not print out as fast as if they were in a 'ready state' all will do some sort of warm up then calibration etc.

There are a few reasons why your first copy out time is delayed after the machine goes to sleep this is the main one you can set.

Automatic drum surface refreshing

Purpose: To prevent bleeding of the output image when the printer's operating environment is one of high humidity. Method1. Enter the Service Setting menu.2. Select [Auto Drum Refresh] using the cursor up/down keys.3. Press the OK key.4. Select the desire mode (Off/Short/Standard/Long) using the cursor up/down keys.5. Press the OK key. The new value is set

I have remote access to this specific model and just tested !R! FRPO N5, 0; EXIT; does nothing, but !R! FRPO N5, 1 to 120; EXIT; works just fine. I guess this has something to do with Country code (U6).

It's about the "Quick Recovery Mode" which is not available on European models:

If the firmware is the same, how are the US and EU models differentiated?
There are no region/country settings. At least I coun't find it.

Interesting. Maybe because the US have 110v Europe have 240v so the power supply etc not the same.

The firmware is the same worldwide.

Sorry my bad. This should be set to Off. But this won't help much in your case.

Like You, I'm also interested in the possibility to change region/destination.

I doubt it "reads" the power supply. But yes, it's theoretically possible. I have never seen a device doing that.
There are many ways, this could be determinated by the firmware: via jumper, switch, hidden settings, cartridge chip, ...

I guess this has something to do with Country code (U6).
