M3550 not sending faxes, but will receive.

So I have ruled out the M3550, I took a 1135 known to work and a simulator box connected the two and both worked. Neither would send when connected to the customers phone line, so I know it must have something to do with their system.
What's happening is the machine gets a dial tone, dials the number, and then it just rings and rings until it times out.

Any help here would be appreciated, and will be sent on up the line...pun intended...

sounds like they are using a VOIP system.

If the customer has recently changed their phone system, you may not be on an actual outside line. use the Off Hook button like you were going to manually dial a number and dial 9 only. If you get a reordered dial tone you are behind something.

So, did any of this rectify problem? What was solution? Has client with same problem now where old Minolta DI-351 was working okay but replaced with Kyocera FS-3140mfp and it will receive faxes but can't send. Thanks.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
