Re: ecosys p3150 pressure roller build up

As I am new with these, I'd like to make sure I understand setting the custom types. First, I looked in the manual, & it says plain and custom 6 is at normal 2. So does it really make a difference which is set ? I'm reluctant to tell them to change their properties again since it tends to cause confusion for a while. I was experimenting with some other types before and it's inevitable that they call and say it's not working.
I replaced the fuser under warrantee and it had a few flecks on the pressure roller again.

If you use custom 6, fixing temperature will increase about 36 degrees F.
But at your system you don`t need it, increasing function would implemented in Service Mode!!
See picture and follow the instruction (Screenshot from service manual...)

Re: ecosys p3150 pressure roller build up

I've altered the press roller cleaning commands a little in this version2.

I've removed the 1" square box in the upper left corner that inevitable jams in the fuser. I've increased the white pages to (6). And I've altered that huge black box 8.125" x 7.5" that puts a whole lot of toner back onto the fuser once you're done cleaning it. Now it's just 1/4" x 8.125" to show that it isn't multiple imaging on the last page. I get even better results by adding 3 or 4 drops of fuser oil evenly spaced into the fuser to loosen the toner up.

I have tried using the original file, but inevitably I'm disappointed by that 2/3 page solid black page caking up the roller again.

I'll be interesting in your thoughts. (Rename the file extension .capt).

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: ecosys p3150 pressure roller build up

i will check it when i am back from home office in july-06.
But from my experience, there is no additional built up from toner on press roller again by this black areas.
This black area will remove the toner instead off built up again.
