Treat it like printing any PDF from USB. Insert the USB anytime. When the menu becomes visible select the .capt file, and print. It's extraordinarily handy.

For a decades I've been using LPR Jar to send PreScribe command files from my laptop, and it works ... but now I do not have to boot up the laptop or connect the network cable. Very convenient. Simply rename the files that I've attached with the .capt file extension. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

This is good to know. I always thought people were using .prn files and it never worked for me. Probably because it should have been .capt

Can someone explain "saving as a .capt" file? If I have a notepad open it only saves it as .txt

    Thanks

For Notepad, from the File menu choose 'Save as'...when the save window opens, under the filename, change "Save as Type" to 'All Files'.

You may now save the file with a .capt extension.

Also, if you enable 'View File Extensions' you can see and change the file extension from Windows Explorer Folder window. (Open Windows folder->View menu-> Check 'File Name Extensions' box).

Or simpler, just save as .txt > right-click > Rename > remove the txt, type in capt

    easier way without printing:
    open Firefox or other browser
type in IP adress/eventlog and choose the Jam historie on the screen
    e.g.
    172.26.165.52/eventlog
