yes-exactly what i've done. this morning the fuser (correct one) arrived 2-3 weeks before i was told i would get it. i will install it and report back. still need answers to my original questions-- reimbursement for my labor and maybe doa procedure. thanks - tuey
if your replacements parts came from kyocera or whoever. contact them for your labor and etc......
for history sake i thought i would update a little bit, been too busy archery hunting to get back here. happened to be going by the vendor for the cardstock they use for their bills and stopped in, took a while but they found the last order from them and the paper weight is 176 gsm, well within the 220 gsm maximum for the 2100 4100 3045 and 3145. i looked at my notes and i'd tried over 20 different media settings for bypass before i went a different direction. i've tried 2 different fusers and got different results with each one-both bad. going throught the process of getting warranty for the fusers now. second fuser has the weeping toner issue and wont fuser the cardstock either. tuey
