TA-406ci with recommended fax settings with Verizon Voip issues.

We have a TA-406ci (model shouldn't matter) that was faxing good until the customer switched over to Verizon for their phone/fax service. We have followed all of Kyocera's recommendations 1) verified ECM on 2) set V.34 to off 3) TX echo- 500 RX echo - 500 4) lowered TX/RX speed (Baud) to 9600. With those settings the client is still unable to send faxes out to some clients and receive these errors U01094, U01095, U01021.
Verizon sent over recommended things to do 1) turn off ECM 2) lower baud rate to 9600 and we tried but no success. We are using 2 conductor phone line and tried 4 conductor but it made it worse. Any suggestions?

have you used a butt set to test just the phone line itself?

No, I do not know what a butt set is.

A butt set is a phone like device used for testing and monitoring phone lines. Very useful when working with fax for line static. Also if they have voice messaging sometimes you will get a set of tones before you actually get a dial tone. You will be able to hear that with a butt set.

Is it going through a surge box or any kind of filter

It was, that was the first thing I tried right after Kyocera's recommended settings, I also tried another machine with a fax just to rule out the copier because that's what Verizon started to blame. It was working fine until the customer switched providers and had turned out to be a nightmare for the client, they were promised the sky from the sales person, but Verizon has been MIA since the installation and other issues the client is having, but they are now locked into a contract from what I understand.
We have basically washed our hands from the issue and have done everything we can think of to correct the issue. We have setup scan to folders and the client is going to email their faxes out at this point until they get a response from Verizon.

One of the things I always do is to turn off U631 EMC (Error Correction).

If that doesn't get it and your customer really needs fax, they could try a fax bridge.

Nextiva vFax (fax bridge) is the one several of my customers have purchased and implemented and it seems to work quite well.

Heck, I've even set one up for the customer (they bought it, I installed, I billed them).

    Just a thought.

Thank you, one of the recommendations from Verizon was to turn off the ECM and I tried that as well, I think it made the problem worse, so I turned it back on. Thank you for the fax bridge recommendation, I will look into it.

if at some time i don't have a butt set. i will just use my cellphone and call the customers fax number. and i will listen to the tones, sometimes that is helpful.

All of my phones are thru Nextiva and I have a Fax Bridge. It works flawlessly. But the bridge has to be set up via Nextiva (you must have an account with Nextiva). I had to email them the serial number on the Fax Bridge and a few minutes later it was activated.
