    Kyocera FS-5400 grey streaks

    Hi All,

I've got a customer with a FS5400 that is giving faint black streaks after about 5 prints on a run.
There is no repeating pattern to them. Fuser looks good and as there is no repeat to them I am ruling out a drum.
I am suspecting transfer belt, but am not sure.
It looks a bitch of a job to get the belt assembly out and don't want to do that if its not the problem.
Any one seen this problem. Any ideas.

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Kyocera FS-5400 grey streaks

It probably just needs some vacuuming and cleaning if it hasn't reached 300k yet. FS-C5400 is a rock solid machine, and if there's a Kyocera A4 color with decent quality, that would be this one for sure. The transfer belt, since it sits on top of drums and devs, is quite easy to take out. You just need to take out toner boxes, 4 plastic holders, pull up rfid holder and remove 2 screws holding it.
