Lexmark XS795dte with an intermitant 243.05 jam code.

    Hey everybody,
Got a 795 that jams out of a large capacity tray 3. when it calls the jam, there isn't any paper in the path over the sensor calling the jam. My question is, does the jam mean there is paper present(stationary jam) or that the paper never got there (delay jam)?
    Thanks for the help!!

In your case it means the paper never got there. Some Lexmark this will cause a "Paper Empty" message.

The feed unit comes as an assy. Also just the rubber rollers. Up to you. I had some that wouldn't stop intermittent jamming so I replaced the whole tray unit, and it solved the problem.

I'm unfamiliar with the lexmark jam codes, is there a part of the 243.05 that indicates that its a delay jam?

I read your post as the paper is not leaving the tray. But I reread it and you say it's during a run.

So the book says it's a stay jam as I interpret it.

I have only seen the optional 550 Sheet Cassette, not a large capacity tray. So I can't offer any more insight.

I can send you the manual if you want. It's parts and service combined.
