    Lexmark X658de Screen issue

Hi, I have a Lexmark X658de that will not start the POST test, it only shows vertical lines on the screen. I tried to do a firmware upgrade but the machine is not seen by my computer.

    well mainly IF:

    you are NOT a Tech....

    do NOT have a manual....

    AND

    Don't have access to PARTS...
You might be over your head in this repair.. IT COULD be a number of things...

other than firmware.. WHAT HAVE YOU TRIED?

    what is page count?

    supplies count?

have you had a power surge/

ALL these THINGS a TECH would know to mention in the OP.. and IF I remember ...

you said " I HAVE " to me that indicates

    YOU OWN IT!

and this was your SECOND post in a forum of TECHS...

pretty SNARKY response for a NOOBIE!
(you never even mentioned ANY qualifications you have)

    moral of this?

don't fuck with a tech of 31yrs that has serviced just about EVERY major brand ..and some obscure ones also
