    Lexmark XM 7155 white lines

The machine is putting white lines from lead edge to trail edge. I just replaced the drum unit 3 weeks ago for the same problem. I've since been told to replace the system board, power supply, transfer roller charge block, and drum at the same time. Has anyone seen this ? Is there a way to determine which part it actually is ?
    Thanks,
    Dave

are you sure nothing is blocking the LSU?

did you measure voltage on the drum/transfer contacts?

what are the Life left of the supplies/parts?

you did vac out the entire machine and clean LSU glass?

    upload an example?

If Lex toner cartridges sit on the shelf too long you can get mottling where the seal contacts the developing roller. Dry wiping the developing roller usually solves this. Certain models are easier to get to the developing roller than others. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    OEM supplies.
    Drum/Toner are both over 75%.
The problem goes away after installing new drum.

It sure looks like the symptoms created by dirty Laser Slit Glass. Like Phil suggested, have you vacuumed out the machine and cleaned the laser?

I have vacuumed it out but have not cleaned the laser. I would think if the laser was dirty it would not change the print quality when I put a new drum in.

I totally agree with your logic, but I have seen stranger things. It only takes a few seconds to check. Run a q-tip back and forth in the laser slot. see what comes out on the q-tip.

Another thought is the drum/imaging unit is failing prematurely. possibly due to bad toner or too much heat inside the machine?
