Lexmark X464 scanner
I have this Lexmark X464 connected to a Windows 10 PC via ethernet cable, and the printer works fine. However Windows 10 will not recognize the scanner unless the USB cable is plugged in. I want to make scanning as well as printing available on the network. I have installed the latest driver per Lexmark.
Any ideas?

Re: Lexmark X464 scanner
You need to use the ScanBack Utility to scan from network.

You need to make sure Profiles are enabled on the printer, otherwise, the ScanBack Utility will not work.
There is also this driver available for the printer:

I'm used to the ScanBack Utility as one of our accounts uses it.

Re: Lexmark X464 scanner
so you are saying it connects directly from the PC to the copier and doesn't go through a router? i would plug into the router and setup the scans that way. plus the fact if it comes up later it will be easier to add more computers for printing and scanning.

Re: Lexmark X464 scanner
Connect the printer as usual (network, configure IP, etc.). Install the ScanBack utility on users PCs and configure. If you don't see Profiles on the control panel of the printer, you'll have to run through the Initial Setup Wizard to enable it.
