Pass thru/pinch rollers/240.xx jams

Techs. I have 3 printers with pass thru roller issues. 2 xc6152 and today a 8160. when paper is fed from tray 3, it jams at the pass thru/pinch rollers of tray 2. As though the rollers dont even turn. They are not worn out at all or even dirty.
Same on the other ones tray 4 feeds but jams at rollers on 3. Is this an issue with these trays. Change the feed assemb;ly ? I'm a little lost.

Check the "MPF, reference edge gearbox" Part# 41X0115. The white roller on this unit should spin freely. We had one lock up. I couldn't even begin to turn it.

i run into this issue frequently on the ms 81x models. not a replaceable part, although they should be. i run a cloth w/rubber cleaner into the pass thru rollers, then turn the gear manually to clean them. works most of the time
