    Lexmark XC4140/Sharp MX-C407F

I have a client with on of these lovely machines and they have PIN accounts active. My question is, how do you access and print meter data related to each PIN account?

Toshiba offers the same relabeled, now discontinued copier. It will soon be replaced with a very similar copier with a Dual Head Doc Feeder. Otherwise, pretty much the same.

I do not know about the Sharp world but

    A. You might need an optional (expensive) HDD to perform Dept Codes
B, There is an app, maybe free to Sharp, called "Device Quota"

"Track and manage user MFP usage. Lexmark Device Quotas allows the Administrator to configure user level quotas
for Print, Scan, Copy and Outbound Fax on this device."

I think there is another way to perform this Dept Code function under the Security tab but it is overly complicated and not one of Lexmark's better pieces of software.

    Maybe this:

    82S1192
    Usage Reporting Client
Collects scan and print activity for authenticated users on a device and transmits in near real time to the Usage Reporting Application installed on the same network. A Usage Reporting Client should be installed on all devices where device/user metrics are to be collected including the primary device hosting the Usage Reporting Application (requires HDD).

Perhaps it also collects copy activity and just isn't listed in the description??

This is a paid for solution that requies a one time license fee.

Then there is a SMSA Usage Reporting Client (82S1193) which has a small annual fee.

I think you would need both for a single machine and with multiple machines you would need 1ea 82S1192 in machine with a HDD and multiple 82S1193.

    Just a guess.
