interchangeable parts

i am looking to replace the control panel display assy. 41x0051 on a xm3250. this assy includes the screen and the keypad/buttons. but i only need the buttons(which is separate from the screen). does anyone know if the buttons/keypad from an xm5263 41x0207 would work? no sense in having to buy parts that aren't needed. if you look at the keypad front and back side they look the same on both copiers.

The buttons on a XM3250 have space between them and protrude from the control panel and from what I recall the buttons on a XM5263 are flush and have no space between them.

If you are talking about the actual circuit board then the XM3250 is all one pwb and not separated like the XM5263.

the xm3150 is more flush like you were saying, the actual keypad itself. the xm3250 is newer, and buttons stick up a bit more like on the 5263. was just wondering if anyone has tried it. the part is cheap, so i am gonna give it a shot.

i did replace the part. tested and worked well while on site. guess i will know in a few days if it holds up as it should. i do believe it will.

fyi as of now still no known issues....
