    Lexmark Ms 310 dn

    Hello
I am working on a Lexmark MS310dn, it had a slight print defect due to the laser unit mirror mirror (long mirror in front of the laser unit) but was printing well except for a vertical missing print. I opened the unit and cleaned the mirror and put back but now I am getting completely blank pages. All connections are well connected.
Any suggestions what could be wrong.

    Thanks

Mirror kicked out of position for sure.
No laser beam, no image. Laser on these machines is always working, if not tampered with.

So likely the mirror reflecting the laser beam coming from the polygon mirror to the drum is out of place. What did you all remove in the attempt to "clean" the laser unit? The location of the black housing containing the laser diode, polygon mirror or dynamic laser diode, whatever, is factory adjusted and very hard to readjust in the field.

The vertical voids are likely not coming from the laser unit, but from the stainless steel doctor blade regulating the thickness of the toner layer on the toner transport roller. Standard issue with these beauties.

The vertical line was due to a slight discoloration of the mirror at the exact spot, drum unit new, only a single blank vertical missing print from top to bottom about 2 mm wide.
