    Muratec MFX-3680N

when customer scans a PDF to computer, image is blurred on screen : when it is printed, the image has background (it looks like shading of all the letters) directly behind the image, but the non-image areas are clean...we set the machine to scan full color and increased the DPI to 300 X 300...that improved it for about a month...now the problem has returned...when copying, no image problem whatsoever... can anyone offer any insight as to what might be going on?

ok, so what have you done?

    1) clean optics and lube scanner rails ( blur could be to scanner rail jitter

    2) does this machine have scanner calibration? if so run it.

    3) post pics of the issue.
