    Checking in.

    Hi all.

Not exactly a printer tech, but as a remote site engineer I often end up being the default IT hardware support guy.

Recently that involves some HP M477fdw, M451nw, M553N, various old HP laser printers and occasional Kyocera or Sharp copy station.

No recent major failures apart from an issue with a M477fdw low voltage power supply, have not yet found the problem, as every time I poke around the LVPS/fuses etc the machine works for a few more weeks/months.

Anyway I joined Copytechnet as most times I searched for copier or printer related information I ended up here, a lot of good information to be found.

    Thanks for the site.
    ST.

    Welcome

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.

    Welcome! =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
