    Hi everyone

Hi. I am new here. I work on Canon IR ADV machines.

First I believe I made a mistake in choosing my username, I put my email rather than a display name. Does anyone know how to change that?

Then, I posted my actual question on the copier I'm working on in the technical forum and have been waiting for moderation on it for two days now. Does anyone know how to get that approved and posted?

    Thanks,
    Bret

Glad to have you join us.

Using you email as your handle is only a problem if a lot of people decide to email you. Have you received your welcome email? You have to reply to it confirming your email address in order to complete your registration. If you haven't received it check your junk mail. Also white list admin@copytechnet.com. If you are using a company provided email address I suggest that you use a personal address. Changing your email address will also generate another confirmation email.

Yes I'd like to change my handle. If you know how I can do that, please advise. I looked in the profile page and couldn't find any option to do that. Maybe I need to create a new account? But I read that I'm not supposed to have multiple accounts so I'd have to nuke this one and start over.

It is possible to have more than one account as long as you use only one of them. There are a number of members who had been using a company provided email and loss access to the account. So do the following:
    1. If you do not already have one, create a new private email on someplace like Google, Yahoo, AOl, etc
    2. Create a new account here using a handle that you like. Mine is what some of those I grew up with used to call me.
    3. Using your existing account place a post in https://www.copytechnet.com/forums/s...and-questions/ informing the Admin that you will be using the new account and the name of that account. Ask that the old one be removed.

Eventually aneurysm will get caught up with everything else and might delete the account for you. Until then only use the new account.
