Glad to have you join us.
No matter what brand you get, compatible supplies are actually going to cost you more in the long run. They don't have the quality control that Genuine supplies have. -
Re: Hey from Yorkshire - new device help needed
thanks slimslob, yeah not saying I would use compatibles.
My clumsy English sorry
(i) I wonder if Kyocera are fragile? Other than lots of complaints about setting up the 5526/5026 seems decent for our needs.
(ii) I also wonder if the sensible price of Kyocera toner will go up when the the model is no longer current - saw that with Xerox, virtually doubling when model went out of production. Now 12 years later they are getting hard to find, hence the other reason to need a new device.
Its well known that manufacturers make their profit on consumables, it seems to me that common business practice could be to keep toners cheap while the model is current (makes the pence/page look really good) then, when a new model comes along with different toners the old model becomes increasing expensive to runComment

I have worked with the following ink based life forms:
Canon
Epson
Richo
HP
Out of all brands through the model lines, if run properly the Epson IMHO are the best.
NO ink based printer does well in one/two sheet runs twice a day (either roll feed or sheet feed)
