you folks in lands other than USA have the maintenance utility also.. nice way to transfer user data back n forth when you do a board swap
i keep in-line fuses on hand & reset the M drum unit - no data transfer was required, though i'll have to setup network addy's etc
everything's expensive in Australia, could have got it cheaper from the U.S. but client didn't want to wait 3 weeks
i think the board did fix the problem though, as now the fault follows the magenta drum unit around - i suspect the M toner RFID chip got damaged, so i'm fitting a new OEM Magenta toner today (they cost me $232.00 wholesale)
will keep you posted
the new magenta toner sorted it, i have ordered a toner chip so the old (but still full) magenta toner can be used
so a BIG thank you Phil, couldn't have done it without you
Hello, I have problems, but with drum only. The machine OKI C830 says: End of life imaging unit CYAN, replace it.
Customer bought genuine drum unit CYAN, but still this message.
Than I bought OEM imaging unit CYAN, but still this message.
In service mode I tried to change consumable from STOP to countinuos. It print one to five pages after power on, but after that still this message (replace imaging unit CYAN) and new message (replace imaging unit MAGENTA).
Motors are turning, clutches are working, contacts are cleaned.
Maybe the "flag" in drum windows is closed??? I forgot about it! Is there the "flag" in drum?
And what to do, when the flag will be O.K. - change mainboard (formatter)?
