Lexmark X464de Scan to email nightmare

Hi all

I normally work on Ricoh, so this one has kicking my ass right now.

I am attempting to set up scan to email, using a dedicated email address created on Gmail.

I have read up, and watched every video on Youtube I can find on the topic, but no go.

The error report reads "Could not resolve server address" with regards to the primary and secondary SMTP servers.

I have used any and all of the suggested port numbers, but still no go.

I can ping the device, as well as print to it, so I know there is comms to it. I can also access the Embedded web server.

I would appreciate any help here, as I am totally lost!

so did you test this feature on a ricoh to see if it works that way? then it would tell you if its gmail not working, or the machine itself.

I tired both scanning to email nd FTP with the same result.

I then came upon Lexmark Scanback software, that seem to use the Hold print feature to make scanning to a pc folder possible. I am happy with that for now.
