    epson c869r 031008 error

Hello i have a bunch of epson c869r copiers. they are very low on counter. some of them 3k 5k max 30k. the have waited nearly 3-4 months idle.
Now most of them are giving 031008 error.

Error name VBS over-voltage error (error code: 031008)
     Cause
Occurs when an abnormal voltage is applied to the head drive circuit.
     Suspected cause
     Print head failure
     Main board failure
     Head FFC inserted slanted

Printhead cleaning is done and all nozzles are ok nothing wrong at print. But suddenly this error is started to occur most of them.
is there any one can give me advise what it is about? First c5790 100016 error now this error. i am really get sick of epson copiers.

In my case I would simply ask for a new printhead to Epson since it's free of charge if the MFP is still under warranty (5 years in our case).
Are they sitting idle with the power or off ? I literally asked today and Epson recommends to keep the MFP idle with the power on so the printhead + cap will manage themselves.

Another recommendations (not found in the 869 manual):

Check the inside of the main unit (mechanical frame) for condensation.

    • Turn off the power and leave it until it dries (12 hours). *

This could be tricky, as you're not supposed to set these up and let them sit for months. You HAVE to run them periodically or you'll get print head issues. Typically it's just cleaning, but if it's multiple machines, either there is bad power, or something else happened. The idea of condensation is a good check; we've only had to replace one print head so far - an 879R, which I believe is the predecessor to the 869. Code was 031011 for a head connection issue that was intermittent.

Reverse, the 869R has been replaced with the 878R and 879R
