    Panasonic Workio 1520 Toner stripes at edjes of drum.

    Hello, I have this machine in service, it gives me the problem of toner strips on the edges of the drum, can someone give me a suggestion as I don't know the machine? thanks, I attach a photo.WhatsApp Image 2020-02-17 at 09.32.46.jpg

    Hi those marks on the drum are common on those machines but shouldnt affect copy quality
    Are you having copy quality issues ??

    It is very common "problem". You must change drum / blade. These devices have PM cycle every 60.000K

    if it's not affecting the PQ/CQ ... and the unit is under life cycle, and if this is an end user,

    I would suggest just letting it go until Image quality becomes and issue.

    The end seals on the Mag roller are going bad, the end seal at the mag roller ends (front and rear) may be a 2 part seal, with foam glued to the unit and a felt type pad over it. at some point with age the foam disintegrates and gets sticky, so some times the felt over the foam still looks good but the foam has lost its integrity and is letting the pad separate from the drum, trapping toner dust and the ends of the drum outside the image area. it shouldn't cause a problem until it gets so bad that toner starts dropping into the paper path.
