    Dp-C copy density adjustments

I have a problem with these series of color machines copying lightly. Prints are fine but copies never seem to be as dark as they should be, especially black. I've adjusted some of the F6-200 settings and it's helped but only a little. Any suggestions about how to properly adjust these things would be greatly appreciated since I really have no training on how to properly maintain these things.

    Thanks in advance!

Remove the platen and clean the mirrors and lens. F6-210-227 are the density settings for color and mono. You can also adjust F6-520-524 and F6-550-554. These are the TDC sensor gain and voltage settings. On the DP-C series, drum are everything. F1-20-24 (I think) will print CMYK full density to check the drum surface. On Panasonics, negative is darker, plus is lighter.
You could also try F8-30 or re-enter the factory settings written on the back side of tray 2.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

Did you ever clean the optics and white plate?

CCD reads white level every time the machine powers up.
As optics get dirty, grey is read as white and compensates for image based on default readings on startup.

You can never fix a copier by playing with settings without cleaning it first.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

If you want your copies to look like your prints, you also have to go to "general settings" and first do a "manual copie quality adjust" then scrool to key operator mode , and scroll to "auto tone adjust" parameter 70 and the machine will print 2 sheets that you'll have to scan (follow screen instructions).
