If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I've started fixing LCD monitor power supplies. Couple of new caps and they work like brand new again! Fixed one of the old Dell OptiPlex GX270 mainboards MANY years ago. Again, caps. Worked like new.
Jip with glass I imagine. Pyrex or hardened of sorts i was wondering if analogue platen glass would work?
No fancy tings on here. Just a timer of sorts. Its going to be on or off.
Then a dimmer. I hope to use duty cycle control.
Should be good for grilled cheese or lamb.
700w a bulb X 4. 2800w that should be just enough to toast a breaker or 2.
Whatever
Removed cover from hard drive. Cut 2000 grit sand paper and stuck it on the disk and you can put a nice edge to that knife you spend hours trying to hone. You can use different size sand paper disk to get your knife from dull to razor sharp in quick time. Also use it for a general grinder of sorts.
Of course you have to power it up with a 12v power supply, which any old desktop computer power supply would do.

The problem with using copier/printer hardware as functional devices is the control of your invention. A programmable controller that is easy to use is necessary in my opinion to design and troubleshoot your invention. The controller below is a device that makes that programming and control easier i would think. see for yourself and maybe there are some who already uses it. There are kits for hobby projects, but the input and output ports can be used to control devices.

Many many years back I made an aerator for my bait bucket out of a fluid pump from an Apeco Superstat....................
P.S. I know some of you will remember the Apeco's............

Anybody ever used copier electronics for something useful?
Use to collect stuff to hopefully someday do projects. Well those projects could never really fully come to fruition, and therefore loads of junk. No more of that as it eats up time and space that is so limited. only quickies that can be realized in a few days would be realistic now, like the hard drive grinder. Sometime when i clean up, i did not know i had all that crap. now when i do keep something, it has to be very reasonable to get into my small abode.

I don't like the new copier I just bought. It says "put face down" but every time I do it, it blinds my eyes.
