You need to be addressing CNN, NBC, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, New York Time et al. They have been taking the side of the Liberal Democrats ever since President Trump won, to include the night if the election when many of them broke down crying because Hillary had lost and their predictions had been proven false.

Seems like a long time ago. Oh wait! It was a long time ago. Time to exhale and let it go.

I am 50/50 on this one not knowing who's name would be on similar past stimulus cheques. Was anyone's name on past cheques?

1). It seems reasonable that President trump signature should be on the cheque.
2). It seems terribly political that Trump's signature should be on a cheque just months before an election aka vote buying.

I thought it was illegal for US politicians to use Gov't infrastructure for political gain.

As for the poll on trusting the media, that is pretty broad. If you narrow it down to specific sources like maybe Fox, or Breitbart or CNN etc. then maybe it would actually mean something.
As I am from England I have no idea about the virtues of those news sources you mention, it was an international poll, if you dont like the results from that vote you are entitled to have another.

    Nope Only King Trump

The Treasury Department has ordered President Trump’s name printed on stimulus checks the Internal Revenue Service is rushing to send to tens of millions of Americans, a process that could slow their delivery by a few days, senior IRS officials said.

The unprecedented decision, finalized late Monday, means that when recipients open the $1,200 paper checks the IRS is scheduled to begin sending to 70 million Americans in coming days, “President Donald J. Trump” will appear on the left side of the payment.

It will be the first time a president’s name appears on an IRS disbursement, whether a routine refund or one of the handful of checks the government has issued to taxpayers in recent decades either to stimulate a down economy or share the dividends of a strong one.

his name is in the MEMO section on the check... he is NOT allowed to 'sign' the checks since he is not an official endorser on said account

every politician uses the infrastructure for their gains... mil flights to an from... limo's ...

and that's including all the perks they get for 'serving' our country.

The Coronavirus Relief Package Includes a Major Tax Break—For Trump, Jared Kushner, and the One Percent
Senate Republicans snuck a tax code provision into the $2 trillion package that could be a “bonanza” for wealthy real estate investors—including the president and his son-in-law.

As the Times notes, the lifted restriction could be a “potential bonanza” for these one-percenters, and marks the second-biggest tax provision in the entire stimulus package.

    “It’s a pretty big deal,”
Peter Buell, who runs tax services for accounting firm Marcum’s real estate practice, told the Times. All told, the move could result in $170 billion in tax breaks for real estate investors—which, just so happens to include Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner.

    The
Times previously reported that both Trump and Kushner had seemingly been taking advantage of the pre-2017 tax law to avoid paying federal income taxes, using real estate losses and depreciation to their benefit just as the new stimulus bill now re-allows.

Tax accountants who analyzed Kushner’s returns
told the Times in 2018 that Kushner had used depreciation to “[pay] little or no or no federal income taxes during at least five of the past eight years,” while Trump’s 1995 tax return
included a $916 million loss that likely allowed him to avoid paying federal income taxes for at least 18 years.

While those tax breaks should have been curbed under the Trump administration’s own tax bill, the new economic stimulus package means the President and his son-in-law can now keep their wealth to themselves and away from the federal government once again.

Re: Just how Crazy is Donald Trump!

President Trump announced during a White House address Wednesday that he is considering adjourning Congress and using its absence to make political appointments.

"If the House will not agree to that adjournment I will exercise my constitutional authority to adjourn both chambers of Congress," he said.

The president claimed his administration is understaffed and blamed congressional Democrats for holding up his confirmations and stonewalling his agenda.

Trump added that he has the constitutional authority to dismiss both chambers and accused Congress of failing the American people and shirking their responsibilities as elected leaders.

President Trump's argument seemed to be that many of these vacancies needed to be filled to assist with the coronavirus response, including the director of national intelligence, two members of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, an assistant secretary of the Treasury Department and an undersecretary of agriculture.

Given that the authority has never been invoked before, it's murky as to what would define "disagreement" in this case. Both chambers would technically need to adjourn to clear the way for recess appointments, and the Democratic-led House is exceedingly unlikely to hold a vote to adjourn.

Trump, as he sought to explain his consideration of the action, took special note of Michael Pack, the President's choice to lead the Broadcasting Board of Governors, whose organization doesn't hold a clear role in the federal government's coronavirus health or economic response.

Trump did not explain how the nominee to be CEO of the US Agency for Global Media would enhance federal efforts to counter the pandemic.
