    Re: Copier Delivery

    Simple answer: It all depends

Sometimes 2 are overkill, and others, 4 may not be enough.

It also depends on just how ape-like your guys are.

We have one dude, who has been with us for 25+ years, who could likely lift a copier 10 times his own weight.

I swear the guy is at least half ant.

Two guys 99% of the time. 1 if its a printer or small desktop mfp. Seems risky using only one. Too easy to scratch a panel on doorways or breaking castors. Goes faster and smoother with 2.

we use 1 delivery driver and 1 tech for most deliveries. larger machines or stairs we use 2 for safety issues.

For A3 size equipment two guys are helping me, A4 size one. Plus always myself doing install and networking.

Did it never before but since one year I'm charging the customer for the delivery costs involved. Strange enough no one complained about it until now. Networking 4 workstations for free, the rest against a minor charge.

two guys to deliver, a separate guy to network, then another to train if required.

How many guys does it take to deliver a copier, sounds like the start of a joke. Can't think of a punchline.

The inevitable punchline will come when machines can deliver themselves.

    Re: Copier Delivery

As a tech who has gone solo for over 25 years I delivered/deliver anything from a MP 6001 to MPC 3302 solo on my own.
The only times I need help is going up stairs especially those danm spiral stairs....WAPITA...........
Now my biggest issue is buildings wanting to see million dollar insurance riders in case something happens on delivery,,,,

    Re: Copier Delivery

all m/c's are delivered by 2 people, then a tech to set it up, the tech does the site visit first, if it's straight in, i.e no stairs, our furniture/stationery delivery people will deliver it, if stairs are involved, we have a removals company that will do it for us, as they have all the correct equipment/training....
Tip for the day; Treat every problem as your dog would.....If you cant eat it or f*ck it....then p*ss on it & walk away...
