If you have a hand truck with an electric stair climber on it, 1 person can actually deliver. 2 is better (its nice to have a guy to open/close doors).

If the delivery will not require any lifting, 1 tech. A sales person might meet us there to get signatures and train users.

If stairs are involved, at least 2 to 4. Some of our customers will provide the muscle for lifting.

For production machines, 2 to 4.

We used a utility trailer with a rear drop gate that could be user as a ramp. As we had a number of school districts as customer who usually replaced multiple machines at a time it allowed making only one trip. In those cases we took at least 2 people in order unload, setup and load trade ins more quickly.

Depending on the size of the equipment, two people should be the norm. And most definitely, a service tech if at all possible.

Nothing worse than that system not firing up upon delivery...Plus, nothing worse than the guy performing the training sweating all over the sample copies...

Your call, but two people looks a lot more professional and can be a great resource if something goes awry.
