President Biden called Murdoch the ‘most dangerous man in the world,’ new book alleges

In a forthcoming book, a pair of New York Times reporters and CNN political analysts report that President Joe Biden “assessed” Fox News “as one of the most destructive forces in the United States.”

The reporters, Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns, say that Biden was even more critical of Fox Corp patriarch Rupert Murdoch.

According to the book, Biden told an unnamed associate in mid-2021 that Murdoch was “the most dangerous man in the world.”

The description comes many chapters into “This Will Not Pass: Trump, Biden, and the Battle for America’s Future,” which comes out in May.

The book describes Fox as a “torrent of anti-Biden programming, stoking skepticism about vaccines and disseminating wild conspiracy theories about the January 6 attack.”

Many Biden allies have denounced Fox for those reasons and have blamed Rupert Murdoch and his son Lachlan, the company’s CEO, for enabling hosts like Tucker Carlson.

But Biden has never spoken about either Murdoch in public, according to the Factba.se database of the president’s speeches, interviews, tweets and other public statements. So the comment in “This Will Not Pass” may make waves.

A White House spokesperson declined to comment on the book’s claim about Biden excoriating the elder Murdoch.

Biden sometimes tangles with Fox’s White House correspondent Peter Doocy, and was caught on a hot mic in January calling Doocy “a stupid son of a bitch.” Biden then called him to apologize.
Biden also occasionally makes asides about Fox’s oppositional programming. Last October, at a CNN town hall, he said “I turn on Fox to find out how popular I am,” winning laughs from the audience.

Martin and Burns’ reporting points to a much bleaker judgment of Fox’s boss behind closed doors.

Re: Do you trust the media?

Truth Social looks like an absolute bust so far

I signed up for Truth Social – Donald Trump’s alternative to Twitter – on February 22, the day after it officially launched.

Demand was so high – allegedly – that I was put on a waiting list. I was #401,477 in line to join.
More than a month later – it’s been 41 days, but who’s counting – I am still not a member of the Truth Social community.

Which, well, what? Especially when you consider that Devin Nunes, the former member of Congress who resigned from office to run Truth Social’s parent company, said that the platform would be “fully operational” by the end of March. Which [checks calendar] has already passed.
Heck, it’s been more than a month since Trump’s first tweet “truth” from the platform. “Get Ready! Your favorite President will see you soon,” he posted in mid-February. I’m ready!

And that’s only the start of the problems buffeting Truth Social these days.

On Monday, Reuters reported that the heads of technology and product development for the company had resigned.

CNN also reported that according to data from the market research firm SensorTower, Truth Social has fallen to 35th place among social networking apps. I didn’t even know there were that many social networking apps!

And it’s unclear how the company behind Truth Social – Trump Media & Technology Group – is funding its growth given that Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating its plan to go public via a special purpose acquisition company and no funds raised can be released until that investigation ends.

None of this should surprise you. As I wrote last fall when Truth Social was announced: “This is a uniquely terrible idea that will, almost certainly, fail.”

The reasons were – and are – obvious: Twitter already exists, there are already a slew of (underperforming) conservative social media sites and Trump isn’t president anymore.

That Trump didn’t see that – and that no one told him the obvious flaws in his plan – should surprise no one who watched how he handled his business over the four years he was in the White House.

The Point: Truth Social, at some point, may get off the ground. But man, has this been a rocky beginning – and an ill omen for its chances in the marketplace.

They were the first steel framed buildings to fall within their own footprint, it's all a bit odd and regarding building 7 the penthouse drops followed by the building, as a matter of interest the tallest building as of 2021 is Burj Khalifa in Dubai at 2,722 ft compared to wtc being 1,368 ft both use steel in the construction, so it's considered safe unless in peculiar circumstances

If you knew anything about mechanical engineering, thermodynamics, stress analysis, the way the twin towers were designed, the sustained heat the center support girders and the temperature the fuel used in those jets could reach you would understand why those buildings came down the way they did and the order in which they came down. As for the Australian reporter, it is either a fabrication or he new just like I knew that id they did not get those fires out and soon, the buildings were going to collapse.

I also question why Larry Silverstein, owner of the World Trade Centers took out terrorism insurance on the buildings 2 weeks prior to the attacks. Is it just coincidence? Larry collected over $4 billion and then sued the airline companies for over another $12 billion on top of that.
The intelligence chatter was that Bin Laden was planning another attack in New York. Different US intelligence agencies had bits and pieces of what was going to happen but the were not sharing information. Consequently nobody could see the complete picture even though between them they had all the information needed to have prevented the attacks.

An interesting thing about the twin towers, the external windows and the steel framing around the windows were not hard connected to the rest of the structure. They were connected in such a way that the window structure could sway in the wind without causing excessive movement of the occupied structure. Otherwise a large portion of the people who worked there would have suffered from constant motion sickness. It is a design technique that has been used to construct buildings that are taller than a certain height. Another technique is to allow wind to flow through the building between the floors.

... on a historic day with the US Supreme Court Judge confirmation of KBJ, CNN and Fox have dramatically different home pages.

CNN - Breaking News, Latest News and Videos

Fox News - Breaking News Updates | Latest News Headlines | Photos & News Videos

... suggesting a strong bias in US media sources.
