If you’re going to tacitly accuse a sitting representative of giving a tour of the Capitol to extremist groups involved in the incursion there, you’d better have some strong evidence.
#Resistance figure Ron Filipkowski did not.

Instead, he circulated a year-old photograph of a newly installed GOP congresswoman to prove she had led “people [who] participated in the insurrection the following day” around the building.

I bet that they even consider when then Congressman Kevin McCarthy let a number of veterans through the barricades and gave them a guided tour of the memorials. The barricades were in place because President Obama closed the national parks as a government shutdown knowing well in advance that there were a number Honor Flight groups who would be in Washington DC that day.

For those who do not know what Honor Flight is here s there Mission Statement. "The mission of Honor Flight is to transport America’s veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials dedicated to honoring those who have served and sacrificed for our country." The flights and their stay in the Capital by the veterans is paid entirely through private contributions. Honor Flight Network - Home

CNN lies ..we all know that.

CNN reports a Dem rep grabbed a crowbar during Capitol attack. He actually grabbed an energy bar. | Politico Fire

CNN made a mistake (IMHO they LIED) on Thursday that left several on social media in stitches after originally reporting that a Democratic congressman grabbed a crowbar from his office as the Capitol was attacked last week when, in fact, the representative had actually grabbed an energy bar.

Who in the hell doesn't know the difference between a protein/energy bar and a CROWBAR?

Anti-FAkes and BLM members... it's their tool of their trade (among others) like yours is a screwdriver.

hell I even have a legal firearm in my cars/trucks but they are not my 'tools of my trade' .. they are my God given right per the 2nd. I also carry a full trauma kit in case I come upon an accident. There are also 3 tampons in case some is shot and bleeding. I am certified in Medical Trauma response.

Analysis: TV news is realigning, with Fox's ratings sagging and CNN's soaring

A realignment in TV news is under way. Fox News Channel's ratings have sagged ever since Election Day. And CNN's ratings have surged to historic levels.

These shifts are related, but complicated. It's not as simple as "X is up so Y is down." People who don't normally watch a lot of cable news are looking for reliable information about the pandemic, the presidential transition and the terror threat. CNN is benefiting and Fox is not.

Furthermore, a big chunk of Fox's base audience was demoralized by Trump's loss in November and disheartened by the pro-Trump riot last week. Fox's average viewership levels are about 20% lower than they were before the election, even though overall TV news viewership is elevated due to the current combination of crises.

A certain amount of short-lived audience erosion was expected for Fox in the event of a Biden victory, since the channel and its viewers were rooting for Trump.

Fox is also under pressure from the right like never before, with channels like Newsmax and One America News chipping away at Fox's core audience.

But this shift is bigger than Newsmax -- and it's longer-lasting than many TV observers anticipated.

Where have Fox's fans gone? Networks frequently conduct audience research, so Fox probably has a pretty solid answer to that question. Fox sources say that some viewers have sampled Newsmax, yes, but many have just chosen to turn off the news altogether. They're watching Hallmark, HGTV or Netflix instead.

"The unified wall of support for Trump has splintered after last week's assault on the Capitol," Lukasiewicz said. "Republicans are disagreeing with Republicans on the most basic questions: Should Trump be impeached? Should he be convicted? Does he bear responsibility for what happened? I suspect traditionally conservative audiences are bewildered and confused. Confusion is certainly apparent among many conservative media producers and commentators -- trying to find their footing as the story of the Capitol assault, and the President's reaction, keeps getting worse."

Five possible reasons for Fox's struggles

    1. "A historic news cycle — for the competition."
    2. Fox's decision to de-emphasize the news division "in favor of more opinion programming."
    3. The opinion shows going "all-in on conspiracies."
    4. Fox being "outflanked on the fringe right by OANN and Newsmax."
    5. "Message fatigue."

Lincoln Project Stays Mum on Accusations Against Co-Founder, Quietly Removes Him from Website

UPDATE, Jan. 16, 2020: Following publication of this article, Lincoln Project co-founder John Weaver released a statement to Axios apologizing for “inappropriate” actions.
“To the men I made uncomfortable through my messages that I viewed as consensual mutual conversations at the time: I am truly sorry. They were inappropriate and it was because of my failings that this discomfort was brought on you,” Weaver said in his statement.
“The truth is that I’m gay,” he said. “And that I have a wife and two kids who I love. My inability to reconcile those two truths has led to this agonizing place.”
Weaver also said he took a medical leave of absence from The Lincoln Project over the summer and will not be returning to the organization.
The Lincoln Project also released a statement reading: “John’s statement speaks for itself.”
The original article remains below as published:

The Lincoln Project has not commented on allegations of sexual misconduct against one of its founders, though the organization has scrubbed some references to him from its website.
Conservative writer Ryan Girdusky tweeted Jan. 9 that multiple young men had sent him screenshots of predatory messages from Lincoln Project co-founder John Weaver.
Weaver formerly worked on the presidential campaigns of John McCain and John Kasich.

Girdusky, a Lincoln Project critic, followed up this announcement with a story in The American Conservative describing Weaver’s alleged “predatory actions” and grooming of young men.
“As they continue to grift and target private citizens who worked for the administration, it’s important to point out that one of their founding members was using their organization and the promise of a job in politics to prey on young men,” Girdusky wrote of the Lincoln Project.

Maybe I should start talking about one of the founding members of the Lincoln Project offering jobs to young men in exchange for sex... his wife is probably interested

Weaver has not publicly denied the allegations. The Lincoln Project has also not addressed the allegations, despite many requests for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation beginning Jan. 11.
“You will have to reach out to John directly about that,” the Lincoln Project’s communications adviser Ryan Wiggins told the DCNF. He did not answer further inquiries about the allegations.

Weaver has not answered the DCNF’s phone calls or emailed requests for comment.
An archive of the “Our Team” page on the Lincoln Project’s website shows that Weaver was listed on the page as of Jan. 11, but the page no longer exists. The Lincoln Project did not respond to the DCNF’s requests for comment regarding the removal of the page.

One man whose identity Girdusky kept anonymous said he communicated with a number of young men to whom Weaver offered a job in exchange for sex. Girdusky wrote that Weaver would demand sex and then not make good on the job offer.

Forensic News reporter Scott Stedman reviewed messages from over a dozen men between 19 and 26 years old who alleged that Weaver sent them “uncomfortable and sometimes sexually explicit messages” after they originally connected with him in a professional capacity.
Some of these men responded and engaged in “sexually-charged conversations” with Weaver, Stedman said.

OH! SO THE CO-FOUNDER OF 'THE LINCOLN PROJECT' IS A GAY MAN NOT WILLING TO MAKE GOOD HIS PROMISES!

He also reported that Weaver would dangle his political connections to try to win sexual favors, often initiating contact through direct messages on Twitter and later phone calls.
“The crux of the complaints levied by the men is that Weaver used his position of power to exploit them as they were beginning their careers,” Stedman wrote.

Stedman, who described receiving sexually aggressive messages from Weaver himself, also reported that the Lincoln Project co-founder “flew political ambitious men to his location for massages and offered jobs in exchange for sexual relations.”
Weaver allegedly offered Stedman a “joint venture” and asked to speak to him on the phone multiple times, which Stedman said he declined.
