That question had been on the census for a long time. Just like immigrants used to have to prove they weren't sick or criminals and had a job offer/sponsorship and could support themselves. The dims removed those requirements.Originally Posted by slimslob

it was omitted in 1960 for everyone except residents of New York City and Puerto Rico. Beginning in 1970 and continuing through 2000, the Census Bureau used two different questionnaires to gather information: a short form sent to more than 80 percent of American households which did not inquire about citizenship, and a long form distributed to fewer than 20 percent of American households which did. The long form was discontinued after 2000, so in 2010 every household received the short form — meaning, in effect, that no one was asked for citizenship data in that year’s decennial census.

Nonetheless, with the alternative at this point being Sanders, a 78-year-old socialist, many Democrats are whistling past the graveyard to avoid backing the senator from Vermont, who they are convinced will lose to Trump.
Not that Biden will fare all that well, considering all the swirling questions about his mental fitness that a complicit media tries its best to obscure.
The online reactions to the story include tweets wondering if Biden will make it to the Democratic National Convention, and others suggesting that Trump will eat him alive during the presidential debates if Biden is the nominee.
One thing is sure, Biden promises to unite this country, and he has accomplished that already because left and right are in agreement that Biden has some real problems.

One Democratic U.S. senator has waged his re-election fight in the swanky hotels of Paris and London.
Sen. Doug Jones of Alabama, facing re-election this November, spent about $3,500 on a trip that included $487 for one night at the K+K Hotel Cayre in Paris and $1,296 at the Baglioni Hotel in London, according to Federal Election Commission records accessed by Fox News.
Federal rules forbid foreigners from donating to American political candidates, but Americans living abroad are able to donate.
“Democrats Abroad” hosted a fundraiser in Paris on Dec. 7.
A statement Democrats Abroad emailed to Fox News said the foreign trips are a standard part of elections.
“Republican and Democratic candidates for the U.S. House and Senate often meet with Americans living abroad during their travels around the world,” the statement said.
“Any fundraising is required to be reported to the FEC and will be detailed in candidates’ FEC reports.
“By law, Republican and Democratic candidates may only accept contributions from American citizens.”
Americans living abroad pumped $2.6 million into the 2016 elections, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

the 'resistance' is coming from the left. They KNOW if we reduce the numbers of illegals swarming into the country, their future voting ranks will drop drastically.
Hence the reason CA NY and other liberal run states are giving illegals driver's permits, and helping them register to vote ( even tho that is also illegal ) leftists have crossed over into mexico and have been schooling the 'refugees' on what to say/do to get into the country, for once they get on US soil, they disappear into the wood work like roaches.
They don't want national voter ID's because that would reduce their numbers at the polls. Quite a few other countries REQUIRE ID's and that the citizen's DO VOTE ( mandatory in some areas ).
How many socialistic/communistic countries just allow foreigners to just walk into their cuntries and get all the rewards of being a citizen, while never declaring support for that cuntry and not assimilate into the life style/ways of said country? very few.
