The Trump "Tax Bombshell" is so laughable! Another "unnamed source" from the NYT. HAHAHA!

Where is the "disgust" for Soros, or Gates, or Bezos, or Elon Musk, or Warren Buffet.......who also paid next to nothing or ZERO taxes for the past decade or better? Where's the breaking news for them?

The NYT piece doesn't even say ANYTHING about anything being "illegal". They "theorize" that somewhere in there is the "hush money" payout, but admit that they have NO PROOF!
They also Point out in their piece that there are NO TIES TO RUSSIA FINANCIALLY (unlike Hunter Biden who received 3.5 MILLION from a Putin comrade)! And that's just a big thorn in the democrats' sides.....oooohhhh they're pissed!!
They're pissed because they thought they "had something", but it turns out what they "have" is a brilliant businessman who used the available tax laws to his advantage, and knows how to lessen his tax burden by offsetting it with losses from other businesses/ investments. Simple tax strategy for wealthy people.

As another tech on here says: It's a big fat Nothing Burger.....with Nothing Fries on the side.....and a Nothing Coke.

Second Video with Major Ilhan Omar Voter Fraud Allegations Released as Minneapolis Police Investigate

The drumbeat of voter fraud allegations against Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota grew stronger Monday with the release of a second video from Project Veritas purporting to show ballot harvesting being conducted.
The release of the second video in two days came as Minneapolis police said they were investigating the situation.
“The MPD is aware of the allegations of vote harvesting. We are in the process of looking into the validity of those statements. No further information is available at this time on this,” the department tweeted Monday.

On Sunday, Project Veritas released a video allegedly exposing an an apparent sophisticated ballot-harvesting scheme targeting mostly Somali-born seniors in Minneapolis.
Those who spoke in the video alleged there are exchanges of cash for mail-in ballots in many cases.

In response to the initial video, Omar’s senior communications director, Jeremy Slevin, told Newsweek: “The amount of truth to this story is equal to the amount Donald Trump paid in taxes of ten out of the last fifteen years: zero. And amplifying a coordinated right-wing campaign to delegitimize a free and fair election this fall undermines our democracy.”

Then on Monday, Project Veritas released a second video:

Omar Connected Harvester SEEN Exchanging $200 for General Election Ballot."We don't care illegal." - YouTube

“Your focus is winning, no matter what you do. You ignore the rules and regulations,” Omar Jamal, a Somali community member, said in the new video. “There’s no moral and ethics here. It’s just the end will justify the means.”
“I think Ilhan Omar is one of the people behind all this mess,” he said. “And they have a lot of people that work for them that make sure that tasks get carried out, ballots collected. This is the cash money exchanging hands.”
“It’s an open secret that everybody knows it but they don’t talk about it.”

“Nobody would say that Ilhan Omar isn’t part of this,” Jamal added in an accompanying news release on the Project Veritas website. “Unless you’re from a different planet, but if you live in this universe, I think everybody knows it.”
The video showed a source appearing to link Omar to the alleged ballot harvesting operation.

“[Ilhan Omar is] the one who came up with all this,” said the speaker.
“[Ilhan Omar is] the one, somehow. Nobody knew, but, yeah, this is something like new with Ilhan.”
The new video also revealed a conversation recorded with a hidden camera between a man identified by Project Veritas as a ballot harvester and a potential voter.

Money appeared to be exchanged and the alleged harvester explained that all the potential voter had to to do put their identifying information on a voter registration form and sign it in order to be paid.
Another source who the video identified as a ballot harvester appeared to say that there is no confusion, and that it’s the operatives who vote, not the supposed voter.

“They actually are the ones who vote, people don’t usually — they do the voting,” the source said.
Osman Ali Dahquane, a taxi driver who was allegedly involved and who served as a source for the video, pointed the finger at Omar.
“Yes, but she paid the wrong guys,” Dahquane said, replying to a question regarding whether or not the congresswoman has paid for votes.
He said the operation is “very corrupt.”

“If this continues this direction, many people will go to prison, or no one will vote in the city of Minneapolis. It is very, very corrupt. We are in trouble if they come after us. We are in big trouble if they come after us,” Dahquane said.
Jamal, meanwhile, emphasized the scheme is not much of a secret in Minneapolis.
“The techniques that [Ilhan Omar staffer Ali Isse] uses to exchange money for vote — that’s not a secret. It’s, it’s open, and everybody knows about it,” he said, adding, “$200, $300 per ballot received!”
Jered Ede, chief legal officer for Project Veritas, said the actions shown and described may have violated state and federal election laws.

Jamal said its crucial that Americans “pay attention” to voter fraud and corruption.
“If the American people don’t pay attention to what’s happening, it is going to soon — the country will collapse,” he said. “The regulations, if you ignore that and you let corruption and fraud become a daily business then tough luck, the country will not exist as they know it.”

Liberal Media Desperately Tries To Hide Biden’s Latest Scandal

While the Joe Biden campaign was quick to leap on a New York Times story that President Donald Trump paid a small amount in personal income taxes in recent years, it is clearly a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
Joe and his wife Jill Biden funneled millions in income through a pair of S corporations they set up in Delaware as a way to circumnavigate paying Social Security and Medicare taxes, according to an August opinion article in The Wall Street Journal.
Of the nearly $13.3 million the couple took in primarily through speaking fees and book royalties during the 2017 and 2018 tax years, they claimed just $750,000 in income.
The other 94 percent of the money passed through the corporations as a direct distribution to the Bidens, preventing it from being subject to the 15.3 percent combined Social Security and Medicare tax rate, according to CNBC.

The Internal Revenue Service requires S corps to pay “reasonable compensation” to employee shareholders before making non-wage distributions to them.

The nature of the business dictates what should be characterized as income and what can be a distribution to an employee shareholder as money generated from the business.
“But to the extent gross receipts are generated by the shareholder’s personal services, then payments to the shareholder-employee should be classified as wages that are subject to employment taxes [Social Security and Medicare],” IRS guidance reads.
Such is clearly the case with the Bidens.
The companies made money through their speaking fees and book royalties and apparently little, if anything, else.
Most if not all the compensation the couple received from the S corps should have been in the form of income, subject to employment taxes.
Even left-wing journalist Ryan Grim, with The Intercept, during the heat of the Democratic primary race last year, highlighted the Bidens’ use of Delaware corporate law to shield their income from public scrutiny.

The Biden campaign was quick to grab on to a New York Times story claiming Trump paid only $750 in personal income taxes the year he won the presidency in 2016 with an attack ad.
In response to the Times story, the president tweeted Monday morning, “The Fake News Media, just like Election time 2016, is bringing up my Taxes & all sorts of other nonsense with illegally obtained information & only bad intent.

“I paid many millions of dollars in taxes but was entitled, like everyone else, to depreciation & tax credits,” he added.
Due to the nature of Trump’s business being primarily in real estate development, tax law does provide for significant tax credits, deductions and depreciation to encourage entrepreneurs to take risks.
Trump’s oldest son, Donald Trump Jr., also addressed the Times story in an appearance on “Fox & Friends” on Monday, pointing to the development of the Trump International Hotel Washington, D.C., as an example for which his father received tax credits.
“My father’s paid tens of millions of taxes,” Trump Jr., said. “If he does things in certain years where you get depreciation, where you get write-off, where you get historical tax credits, like we did when we took on the risk of building the Old Post Office in DC.”
The Old Post Office Building, originally constructed in the 1890s not far from the White House, reopened as a newly renovated Trump hotel in October 2016.
“That was literally a government contract,” Trump Jr. recounted. “We bid against every hotel company in the world. Historical tax credits that you use to offset tax payments for taking the risk to build that. That was done under the Obama administration. It literally took an act of Congress to get it done.”

The president’s son further suggested that while his father’s federal income tax due may be low any given year, he still had to pay property taxes and payroll taxes (Social Security and Medicare) among others.
Trump Jr. also pointed out that his father put “thousands and thousands of people to work on an annual basis” through his various business ventures. Those people pay taxes too.
The Times’ big scoop appears to be that a businessman took advantage of business tax deductions. And?
Of far greater service to the public would be reporting on the tax avoidance schemes of the Bidens and the shady dealings of their son Hunter.

Nobody, I mean nobody is taking this as laughable or a nothing burger !!!

If Trump is indeed in debt to $400M repayment over the next four years to potentially a foreign gov't like Russia this a major security threat. Trump could be very vulnerable to extortion.

Anyone with a tiny fraction of this debt could not get an entry level job into the Federal gov't as they would be automatically deemed as too much of a security risk.

You can count on Congressional investigative committees being proposed shortly with House Majority Speaker Pelosi publically calling Trump a National Security threat.

You can count on this being a "Hot Topic" in tonight's Presidential debate with an estimated viewership of over 80M citizens.

Denial is a river in Egypt.

However you spin it, this is not the kind of blockbuster news you want the same day of a nationally televised Presidential debate.

Trump is going to say it is "fake news, believe me!" and 2/3 rds of America is going to say he is lying though his teeth.

    Bad news for Barry.

Court Declares NSA Surveillance Programs to be Illegal, Vindicating Whistleblower Edward Snowden

On September 2, 2020, an appeals court ruled that a mass surveillance program, which former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden exposed seven years ago, is unconstitutional.
In the U.S. court of appeals for the ninth circuit’s ruling, it declared that the mass surveillance of America’s phone calls violated the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
Snowden sought asylum in Russia following the leaks he made in 2013 and is still within the U.S. government’s crosshairs, as he faces espionage charges. On Twitter, Snowden declared that the ruling vindicated his move to go public about the NSA’s mass spying program.
“I never imagined that I would live to see our courts condemn the NSA’s activities as unlawful and in the same ruling credit me for exposing them,” Snowden Tweeted.

The most notable of Snowden’s findings was the evidence pointing to the NSA secretly compiling a large database of U.S. phone calls, which the Guardian published in 2013.
Before those leaks went out, intelligence officials attempted to re-assure the public that the NSA never intentionally collected Americans’ personal information. Once Snowden exposed the surveillance program, intelligence big wigs argued that the spying played a significant role in combatting domestic extremism. They alluded to the case of four San Diego residents who were providing aid to Islamic radicals in Somalia.

Intelligence officials argued that the four individuals in question – Basaaly Saeed Moalin, Ahmed Nasir Taalil Mohamud, Mohamed Mohamud and Issa Doreh – received convictions in 2013 due to the NSA’s telephone surveillance program. However, the ninth circuit ruled that those claims were “inconsistent with the contents of the classified record.”
Civil liberties advocacy groups such as the American Civil Liberties Union, which was very active in bringing the case to appeal, praised the court’s ruling on the NSA’s spy program.
“Today’s ruling is a victory for our privacy rights,” the ACLU declared in a statement. In their view, the ruling “makes plain that the NSA’s bulk collection of Americans’ phone records violated the constitution”.
Several congressmen such as Matt Gaetz and Thomas Massie have come out in support of Snowden being pardoned.
Trump should listen to these America First officials and pardon Snowden.
