Leaked Video: Facebook Execs Admit They Have Too Much Power, Are Excited to Work with Biden

Facebook executives admitted that they have too much power as a private company and that they are looking forward to working with the Biden administration in a recent video leaked by an insider.
The insider shared the video with Project Veritas, which has since released the video to the public.
The video includes footage from Jan. 7 and Jan. 21 where CEO Mark Zuckerberg and other senior executives admit “to the company’s wide-ranging powers to censor political speech and promote partisan objectives,” according to Project Veritas.

In the Jan. 7 video, Zuckerberg accused former President Trump of undermining “the peaceful and lawful transition of power.”
“It’s so important that our political leaders lead by example, make sure we put the nation first here, and what we’ve seen is that the president has been doing the opposite of that,” Zuckerberg said.
“His decision to use his platform to condone rather than condemn the actions of his supporters in the Capitol I think has rightly bothered and disturbed people in the U.S. and around the world.”

Guy Rosen, Facebook’s Vice President of Integrity also described how the social media company targets “dangerous” speech.
“We have a system that is able to freeze commenting on threads in cases where our systems are detecting that there may be a thread that has hate speech or violence,” Rosen said.

“These are all things we’ve built over the past three-four years as part of our investments into the integrity space, our efforts to protect the election.”
During the Jan. 21 meeting, Zuckerberg praised President Joe Biden and his use of executive orders in his first days in office.
“In his first day, President Biden already issued a number of Executive Orders on areas that we as a company care quite deeply about and have for some time,” he said.

“Areas like immigration, preserving DACA, ending restrictions on travel from Muslim-majority countries, as well as other Executive Orders on climate and advancing racial justice and equity. I think these were all important and positive steps.”
He added, “I think that these were all important and positive steps and I’m looking forward to opportunities where Facebook is going to be able to work together with this new administration on some of their top priorities starting with the COVID response.”
Facebook’s Head of Global Affairs, Nick Clegg, brought up the backlash the company received after it suspended Trump from its platform.

“There has been quite a lot of disquiet expressed by many leaders around the world, from the President of Mexico to Alexei Navalny in Russia, and Chancellor Angela Merkel and others saying, ‘well this shows that private companies have got too much power and they should only be making these decisions in a way that is framed by democratically agreed rules.’ We agree with that,” he said.
“Ideally, we wouldn’t be taking these decisions on our own, we would be taking these decisions in line with our own conformity, with democratically agreed rules and principles. At the moment, those democratically agreed rules don’t exist. We still have to make decisions in real-time.”

China Analysts: Biden Giving China ‘Everything’ They Want, China Going To Be ‘Quite Aggressive’

Two China policy analysts warned that communist China is going to be “quite aggressive” toward the United States because they believe that they will surpass it and do not see President Joe Biden as a tough opponent.
“Well, Biden right now — the Chinese are testing him, but they don’t really have to lift a finger to do this, because he’s giving them everything that they want,” said Gordon Chang, author of “The Coming Collapse of China,” said on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”

“We have seen this, for instance, with joining the Paris accord, rejoining the World Health Organization, his January 26 memorandum on xenophobic attacks, which he blamed President Trump for xenophobia in the United States,” Chang said. “The list goes on and on. And we have really got to be concerned, because China is looking right now and thinking it’s going to get everything.”
Dr. Jonathan Ward, founder of the Atlas Organization and author of “China’s Vision of Victory,” told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo that China’s actions are rooted in their belief that they are going to surpass the U.S.
“I think the thing is, they think that they’re going to beat us in this new Cold War, or whatever we want to call it. The contest with China is one that they believe that they will win,” Ward said. “They believe that COVID-19 has put them in an advantageous position. They have said for a long time that they’re going to turn crisis into an opportunity, strengthen their position in the world economy.”

“They have done that, in a sense. They were the only major economy to grow in 2020. They surpassed the U.S. as the leading destination for FDI. And many of our companies are heavily dependent on the China market,” Ward continued. “So, I think what the new administration is dealing with is this economic contest. China knows that, if they become the world’s dominant economy, the rest will fall into place. So, they feel very confident. And they’re going to be quite aggressive. So, the new administration has to be ready for all of that.”
Later in the show, Bartiromo asked Chang about an op-ed from The Global Times, which is a state-run news organization in China, that warned that other nations should stay out of China’s business when it comes to territories that it believes it controls, like Taiwan.
“Well, first of all, the Chinese are preparing for war,” Chang said. “They issued new amendments to its national defense law, effective the beginning of this year, which allows the Chinese military to mobilize without civilian control. And, indeed, many people say China is just bluffing. But history says that, when countries bluff and threaten war, they usually provoke one. So, therefore, all of these maneuvers against Taiwan, these threats against the U.S., they are consequential.”

Doctor that promoted false hydroxychloroquine claims arrested in connection with Capitol riot

Federal officials this weekend arrested the head of a fringe medical group that has promoted false claims about vaccines and the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine in connection with the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

The Justice Department said in charging documents that it had charged Simone Gold, head of America's Frontline Doctors, with violent entry, disorderly conduct and entering a restricted building. John Strand, the group's communications director, was also charged in connection with the riot, with the Justice Department including images of both inside the building.

Gold confirmed to The Washington Post on Jan. 12 that she was present at the riot and does "regret being there," but told the newspaper, "I can certainly speak to the place that I was, and it most emphatically was not a riot." However, the affidavit indicates that a video of a police officer who was pulled down by a member of the mob during the riot landed in front of Strand and Gold.

In 2020, the group was one of the most vocal in promoting the unproven use of hydroxychloroquine as a treatment for the coronavirus, a claim then-President Trump repeatedly hyped. Numerous studies have indicated the drug is not effective against the virus.
