Re: Let the truth be known
The Trump administration has faced sharp criticism for its handling of the coronavirus outbreak, which has crippled the U.S. economy and claimed more than 3,100 lives as of Tuesday. The latest death toll eclipsed the number of Americans killed in the 9/11 terror attacks in New York City.

Trump warns of 'painful' two weeks ahead as White House projects more than 100,000 coronavirus deaths
President Donald Trump warned of a "painful" and "tough" two-week stretch ahead as he extended nationwide distancing measures that -- even if followed closely -- could still mean more than 100,000 and up to 240,000 Americans die from coronavirus.
But in a dire prediction, Dr. Deborah Birx said that even if the federal guidelines are followed precisely, between 100,000 and 240,000 deaths could still occur -- a number that well surpasses the American death toll in the Vietnam War.

General Electric factory workers protested on Monday for the company’s reluctance to cease jet engine production to make ventilators amid the coronavirus pandemic, Vice reported. Factory workers protested at the company’s Lynn, Massachusetts, aviation facility, and the company’s Boston headquarters, calling on General Electric to convert its aviation facility into a site for ventilator production to save lives. The company already has a health-care division that manufactures ventilators at a mass scale. “Most Americans are not aware that the best ventilators are already made by General Electric within the company’s healthcare division,” said CWA President Chris Shelton. Just last week, General Electric laid off nearly 2,600 workers and “temporarily” laid off 50 percent of its maintenance staff. “If GE trusts us to build, maintain, and test engines which go on a variety of aircraft where millions of lives are at stake, why wouldn’t they trust us to build ventilators?” said IUE-CWA Local President Jake Aguanaga.

Dow plunges on Trump's warning that 'a hell of a bad two weeks' are coming
"This is going to be a very bad two, and maybe three weeks. This is going to be three weeks like we’ve never seen before,” President Donald Trump said at a news briefing.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average slumped by 700 points on Wednesday, as markets digested President Donald Trump's stark warning that the U.S. could be facing "hell."
“This could be a hell of a bad two weeks. This is going to be a very bad two, and maybe three weeks. This is going to be three weeks like we’ve never seen before,” Trump said at a White House coronavirus task force briefing Tuesday night. White House officials warned that the U.S. could see up to 240,000 deaths from the outbreak.

A Ventilator Stockpile, With One Hitch: Thousands Do Not Work
While President Trump has assured states that thousands of ventilators remain at the ready, thousands more are in storage, unmaintained or otherwise unusable.
President Trump has repeatedly assured Americans that the federal government is holding 10,000 ventilators in reserve to ship to the hardest-hit hospitals around the nation as they struggle to keep the most critically ill patients alive.
But what federal officials have neglected to mention is that an additional 2,109 lifesaving devices are unavailable after the contract to maintain the government’s stockpile lapsed late last summer, and a contracting dispute meant that a new firm did not begin its work until late January. By then, the coronavirus crisis was already underway.
The revelation came in response to inquiries to the Department of Health and Human Services after state officials reported that some of the ventilators they received were not operational, stoking speculation that the administration had not kept up with the task of maintaining the stockpile.
In fact, the contract with a company that was maintaining the machines expired at the end of last summer, and a contract protest delayed handing the job to Agiliti, a Minneapolis-based provider of medical equipment services and maintenance. Agiliti was not given the $38 million task until late January, when the scope of the global coronavirus crisis was first becoming clear.
It is not known whether problems with the ventilators predated the contract lapse, but maintenance of the machines did halt. That delay may become a potentially deadly lapse.
“We were given a stop-work order before we’d even started,” said Tom Leonard, the chief executive of Agiliti, which had won the contract to service the ventilators in the stockpile. “Between the time of the original and the time of this contract award, I don’t know who was responsible or if anybody was responsible for those devices. But it was not us.”

Trump Spoke Of Coronavirus In SOTU. Pelosi Tore It Up, Called It ‘Manifesto Of Mistruths’ | The Daily Wire
While Trump was addressing problems facing the nation, House Speaker was fuming; as soon as Trump finished speaking she tore the printed copy of the speech up. Later, when she was asked why she did so, considering she had admonished Democrats to act with dignity, she snapped, “I tore up a manifesto of mistruths.” Gesturing to reporters, she continued, “It’s very hard for us to get you to talk about the issues that we are working on … it was necessary to get the attention of the American people to say. ‘This is not true.’ … I don’t need any lessons from anybody, especially the President of the United States"
The dems' hate for Our President has them so consumed that they can't do one good thing for the American people, and this is proven further by this next article;
Doug Collins rips Schiff'''s call for coronavirus response commission: He was distracted by impeachment | Fox News
Adam Schiff wants to introduce a bill for a commission to review the Chinese Covid Outbreak Response (wonder why...?) According to the Washington Post, Schiff believes the intelligence community may be less than forthcoming during the president’s reelection campaign
Appearing on "Fox & Friends" with host Brian Kilmeade, Collins said that there will be time to examine past actions with oversight after the health crisis has passed, noting that he didn't think Schiff would like what he'll see when placed under the magnifying glass.
"But also, I think there's going to actually be a look back here that I'm not sure Adam Schiff wants to talk about, and that is China's role in this and the fact that, as Intelligence Committee chairman, he was so wrapped up in impeachment during when all this hit that I'm not sure there was a slow response on both sides because no one was looking at this," Collins stated.
"Because he was so focused on the president and what he was trying to do in the election that we were missing, basically, China's role and others."
